Coming Up Taller Seeks Nominations

The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) is inviting nominations for its 2010 Coming Up Taller Awards.  Presented in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the Coming Up Taller awards recognize the accomplishments of arts and humanities after-school and out-of-school programs and activities across the country.  As Mrs. Michelle Obama remarked during the 2009 Coming Up Taller awards ceremony held at the White House, the programs receiving Coming Up Taller awards each use achievement in the arts and humanities as “a bridge to achievement in life.”  With its $10,000 award, Coming Up Taller also assists organizations, furthers knowledge, and encourages development of future programs.
