To support the CityArts Grant Program. The project will support small and medium-sized cultural organizations that offer arts activities in a variety of media for audiences of all ages in community based venues.

Detroit Institute of Arts (on behalf of El Arte Alliance)

To support school-based arts learning. The program will provide multicultural, interdisciplinary art experiences developed and administered by collaborating teachers and artists that teach curriculum based arts in the classroom.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Inc. (aka Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall) (consortium)

To support workshops and performances during the National Association of Negro Musicians' (NANM) 2004 convention. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and NANM will host the six-day national convention and present youth sessions, panel discussions, a scholarship competition, and concerts of jazz, gospel, choral and orchestral music.

To support performances of Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore and a tour of opera scenes by the Pine Mountain Music Festival Young Artists. In 2003 the Young Artists will tour Highlights of the Great Operas to three remote and underserved cities in the Upper Peninsula: Iron Mountain, Marquette and Calumet.

Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival
