To support a summer program that brings art classes by vans to city parks. Four brightly-painted vans will deliver art teachers, interns, and art supplies to children at 18 urban parks for one- and two-week periods.

To support the Kuumba Festival, Harvest Concert Series, and a residency by choreographer Ronald K. Brown. Held at the Pabst Theater, the Kuumba Festival and Harvest Concert Series will take place in the spring and fall, respectively.

To support Connecting Communities, and commissioned new works. Artists will collaborate with area cultural minorities, the elderly, farm families, disadvantaged youth, and industrial workers to develop five residency projects and community-based commissions.
