To support professional development activities through the Public Art Network (PAN). Activities targeted to public art practitioners will include implementation of a digital process for artists' submissions to Year in Review, creation of an online gallery, a series of commissions of temporary public art, and related opportunitities through PAN.

Arts Center of the Capital Region (aka Arts Center Council)

To support exhibitions, workshops, and master classes exploring the region's ceramic arts heritage. Two exhibitions will be held concurrently, one developed in collaboration with the collections staff at the Rensselaer County Historical Society and the other guided by guest curator, Thomas Piche that will showcase the area's leading contemporary ceramic artists.

To support a mural project as part of the City Jonesboro's downtown revitalization efforts. Muralist Cheryl Mann Hardin will be hired to develop and document design standards for a series of murals and conduct master classes for a network of artists who will assist her in the creation of the proposed mural series.

To support Public Art Locator. The documentation of Indianapolis public art will consist of new photo-based artwork, a printed book and map, and an online information center. The project is intended to preserve the historic context in which these works were created and provide information about their significance.

To support the MasterWorks Residencies. Clay sculptor Jean-Pierre Larocque and potter Lisa Orr will be in residence at Louisiana ArtWorks and will conduct workshops for university visual arts students and practicing artists, as well as provide public demonstrations of their craft.

To support the Community Arts Fund (CAF). The CAF is one of the Arts Council's core granting programs providing support to Santa Clara County's emerging community-based arts organizations.

To support the tour of opera productions for rural Low Country audiences. Concerts and related outreach activities featuring selections from Piccolo Spoleto Festival's 2007 Spotlight Series will be presented in rural South Carolina locations.

To support the Music Under the Stars concert series. Admission-free concerts featuring diverse musical styles by regionally and nationally recognized artists are presented at the Chamizal National Memorial Theater.

To support the consortium project Cultural Voices. In partnership with the Museum of International Folk Art, Cultural Voices will showcase Santa Fe's diverse artistic and cultural resources.

To support the King County Performance Network. Building on an eight-year history of presenting contemporary performances, site-specific arts events will be commissioned for presentation at suburban and rural venues.

To support the 2006 South African Partnership. Activities in cooperation with South Africa's Caversham Centre for Artists and Writers will include producing a catalogue of works from the Council's Caversham Fellows and their South African peers, publishing an anthology, mounting a visual arts exhibition, and hosting artist residencies.

To support activities of the Office of Public Art Project. Activities will include the development of a public art walking tour, a conservation assessment of municipal public art, development of a public art registry, and a related lecture series.

To support the consortium project In This Place. In partnership with the Pick Up Performance Company of New York, site-specific public theater expressing lesser-known histories of the city of Lexington will be created.

To support Celebrate Diversity. This series of public and in-school performances and workshops will feature Chuchumbe of Veracruz, Mexico, and Esta, an Israeli music ensemble.

To support a series of musical presentations exploring Puerto Rican mountain music. Guest artists from Puerto Rico, Ecos de Borinquen and Grupo Mapeye, and local artist Jose Gonzales will perform and present workshops on this art form known as the jibaro that was created by Puerto Rican rural sharecroppers.

To support the Visiting Artist Series (VAS). The VAS presents artists of national and international acclaim to the Midwest, offering residents of a six-county, two-state region the opportunity to see world class artists.

To support the commission of a mural by artist Richard Haas. Haas' proposed work would grace an exterior wall of a sculpture court within Arts Exchange, a mutli-use cultural facility owned and operated by the Arts Council.
