To support live presentations, broadcasts, and documentation of traditional music. The project will include a series of weekly concerts, performances at the Jubilee Festival, programs focusing on the traditional music of the southern Appalachian region, and research and documentation of traditional artsts in east Tennessee.

To support Rock like Bach, a festival, presented during the Music Library Association's 75th anniversary convention in Memphis in 2006. The festival will integrate rock and roll with orchestral music, and will feature a residency and world premiere performance of a commissioned work by composer Augusta Read Thomas.

To support the production and musical adaptation of classic children's literature. During the New Classics Project, musical stagings of The Wind in the Willows and Peter Pan:The Story of Peter & Wendy will be included in the theater's school performance series, accompanied by standards-based curriculum guides, teacher training, post-show disucssions, and family workshops.

To support the 37th Nashville Film Festival. The event features student films and videos, documentaries, narrative films, and experimental work. Additional activities include workshops and seminars on screenwriting, film scores, and distribution.

North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance, Inc. (aka Folk Alliance) (Consortium)

A consortium project to support the 2006 Annual International Conference. In collaboration with the Texas Commission on the Arts, the Austin conference will introduce and showcase a wide variety of Texas folk musicians to the Folk Alliance membership, which consists of performing arts presenters, festival bookers, marketing and public relations specialists, and record label representatives.
