Local Arts Agencies

Arts Wisconsin, Inc.

To support the Rural Arts Initiative. The project will provide leadership training and targeted technical assistance for rural arts resources in 50 of Wisconsin's 72 counties.

Brunswick Area Arts & Cultural Alliance (aka Midcoast REACH) (Consortium)
Brunswick, ME

To support leadership training and assistance in arts management for leaders of Maine local arts agencies. A partnership with the Maine Arts Commission, the project will increase the capacity of local arts agencies to sustain access to arts excellence in their communities and to foster improved coordination across the state.

Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties
Columbia, SC

To support technical assistance workshops and coordinated marketing programs. Project activity will include consultancies, electronic media placement, and other promotional efforts for the benefit of local artists and more than 50 emerging and established arts organizations.

Culture Works (aka Arts and Culture Alliance of the Miami Valley)

To support SmART Cards. A marketing initiative to raise public awareness of the arts in the Greater Dayton area, including nearby Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  SmART Cards are gift cards that may be used to pay the admission to local plays, concerts, and dance performances. 

Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

To support an electronic marketing initiative to market the region's more than 1,000 nonprofit cultural organizations.  The two-part initiative includes an online calendar called the PhillyFunGuide.com,   and FunSavers, an e-mail program offering last-minute, half-price tickets.

Illinois Arts Alliance Foundation

To support the creation of an educational publication on peer coaching circles and mentoring processes. The publication will be used by local arts agencies and statewide and regional service organizations to implement similar programming.

Ink People, Inc. (aka The Ink People Center for the Arts)

To support the DreamMaker Program: Creating Healthy Communities through Arts and Cultural Solutions. The program provides a series of workshops, technical assistance, shared resources, and individualized training for Humboldt County cultural groups.

Los Angeles County Arts Commission
Los Angeles, CA

To support leadership development opportunities for municipal arts staff and commissioners. Project activities will include an internship program and the provision of grants for cultural planning or assessments that will culminate in a written plan with implementation strategies.

Michigan Association of Community Arts Agencies (aka MACAA)
Lansing, MI

To support a series of workshops for Michigan arts and cultural organizations. The regional and statewide workshops will focus on arts management, leadership initiatives, and economic and community development.

Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies (aka MACAA)

To support the Rural Initiative. The project will provide Web sites and Web services for rural arts agencies, buildings on previous efforts by the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies (MACAA).

Queens Council on the Arts, Inc.

To support the Individual Artist Initiative (IAI), a program that assists emerging artists in their career development. Selected from a competitive review process, visual and performing artists will benefit from one-on-one technical assistance, professional development workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and a mentorship with professional consultants.

South Dakotans for the Arts (Consortium)

To support the Prairie Arts Management Institute (PAMI). In partnership with the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies, PAMI will provide training for executive directors and staff of small and mid-sized arts organizations from the prairie states of the Midwest.
