To support "Minnesota Voices," in celebration of Minnesota's sesquicentennial. Minnesota Chorale and five other choirs from around the state will commission and perform new works by six composers.  More than 10,000 people will attend the performances, which also will be broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio.

The orchestra will perform new works by Elliott Carter, Osvaldo Golijov, and David Lang, as well as two commissioned works by George Tsontakis and composer-in-residence Fred Lerdahl.  More than 9,900 audience members are expected to attend the 10 concerts, which also will be broadcast on local radio.
