WYOMING Buffalo Bill Memorial Association (aka Buffalo Bill Historical Center) Cody, WY $20,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Folk and Traditional Arts To support the Cowboy Songs & Range Ballads: Melodies & Memories festival. The festival will celebrate its 25th year of presenting and interpreting the music, poetry, history, and material culture of the American cowboy. Cheyenne Symphony Society, Inc. Cheyenne, WY $5,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Music To support a gala choral concert. Performing under the direction of conductor and artistic director Dr. Stephen Alltop, a mass choir will be composed of local singers as well as those from statewide college-student choirs and a children's choir. Goshen Community Theatre, Inc. (aka Goshen Community Theatre) Torrington, WY $8,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Musical Theater To support the production of a classical musical with accompanying outreach activities. The Music Man (1957) with book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Wilson will be performed at the Eastern Wyoming College of Fine Arts Auditorium. Vista 360, Inc. Jackson, WY $10,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Presenting To support Homage to Mt. Fuji Festival. Highlights of the project include performances; installation of the Earth Harp, one of the Ensemble's musical instruments with strings 400 feet long; and a residency by MASS Ensemble.
