COLORADO Colorado Council on the Arts Denver, CO $635,100 CATEGORY: Partnership FIELD/DISCIPLINE: State & Regional To support Partnership Agreement activities. Fort Collins Museum Foundation Fort Collins, CO $15,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Folk and Traditional Arts To support the Fourth Annual Crossroads at the Council Tree Native American Music Festival. The project will consist of a series of performances by Native musicians at local elementary and middle schools. Frequent Flyers Productions, Inc. Boulder, CO $10,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Dance To support the ninth annual Aerial Dance Festival. The project will include classes, workshops, and performances for students ranging from youth to senior citizens. International Tap Association (aka ITA) Boulder, CO $10,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Dance To support a printed issue of "On Tap" and a planning process to transition to an interactive web site that documents and preserves the heritage of the American art of tap, while providing informational resources to ensure its future. National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (aka NCECA) Erie, CO $35,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Visual Arts To support planning and implementation of the annual conference of the nation's oldest and largest professional service organization for the ceramic arts. The conference, to be held in New Orleans in March 2008, will include a series of exhibitions, lectures, panels, and workshop demonstrations. New Dance Theatre, Inc. (aka Cleo Parker Robinson Dance) Denver, CO $15,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Dance To support a project to honor the life of dance legend Katherine Dunham. The project will include the restaging of a Dunham work for the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble and an educational outreach program. PlatteForum Denver, CO $18,000 CATEGORY: Learning in the Arts FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Learning in the Arts for Children & Youth To support ArtLab. Teenagers will work beside practicing poets, photographers, and visual and media artists two to three days a week for 10 weeks during the school year, and in the summer will assist the artists as mentors for younger children. Western States Arts Federation (aka WESTAF) Denver, CO $1,356,400 CATEGORY: Partnership FIELD/DISCIPLINE: State & Regional To support Partnership Agreement activities.
