To support the expansion of the annually-curated Year in Review CD-ROM and the digitization of analog slide images for the Public Art Network database. The Year in Review highlights the nation's most innovative and successful contemporary public art projects.

Arts & Cultural Affairs Department, Tampa (aka City of Tampa, Art Programs)

To support artist fees for Portals, a new media public art project representing subjects of significance to Tampa. Developed by a team of art, education, and technology specialists, the commissioned work will be installed along the route of the newly developed Tampa Riverwalk.

To support the commissioning of a monumental artwork for installation in Romare Bearden Park. An artist will be selected through a nationwide competition to create a public artwork that will honor renowned 20th-century artist Romare Bearden, a Charlotte native.

To support the Community Arts Fund, which supports arts projects, such as performances and exhibitions,  that reflect the numerous cultures represented in Santa Clara County.

To support Design Broward, an exhibition depicting newly installed public artworks throughout the county, with an accompanying lecture series. Curated by Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale Executive Director Irvin Lippman, the exhibit will feature the work of Alice Aycock, Lorna Jordan, Carl Cheng, and Allison Sky, as well as other artists in the Broward County Public Art and Design Program.

To support NXT/NOW: Evolving Musical Traditions, a series of inter-related performances, workshops, and lectures. The program, to be held at the Oats Park Center, will feature artists who are revitalizing traditional musical genres.

To support fees for nationally recognized artists and cultural leaders, including composers, filmmakers, visual artists, and critics, among others, who will participate in the Zócalo Arts and Culture Public Lecture Series.

To support Sleepless Night 2009, a series of performances and exhibitions to take place from sundown to sunrise. Inspired by Paris's Nuit Blanche, the second annual citywide celebration will include performances, exhibitions, architectural tours, and other cultural offerings.

To support a series of jury-selected, site-specific performances. Conducted in partnership with local arts agencies, performances will take place throughout King County.

To support Cultural Crossroads, a world music and jazz concert series with associated community outreach programs that will be presented in celebration of Flushing Town Hall's 30th anniversary as a multidisciplinary presenter.

To support Workspace, an artist residency of up to nine months, and Swing Space, a short-term, project-based artist residency. The juried programs will provide promising contemporary visual and performing artists with space and time to create and present work.

To support the Visiting Artist Series. The artist residency program will feature nationally touring artists who will perform and conduct workshops for audiences in eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois.

Shreveport Regional Arts Council

To support a touring photography exhibition that will include the creation of a catalogue, as well as a storytelling program featuring Jeannine Pasini Beekman. These activities are components of a program that will interpret the history and cultural heritage of selected North Louisiana architectural sites.
