To support a series of artist residencies in partnership with the Ave Maria Village nursing home. Proposed artists include storyteller and NEA National Heritage Fellow Mary Louise Defender Wilson, writer Deborah Ford, weaver Lila Hauge-Stoffel, and painter Pieper Bloomquist, who will work with the nursing home's residents. Residency activities will include the creation of stories or writings based on the elders' oral histories, and corresponding paintings-all of which will be compiled as a manuscript for public distribution.

To support a tour of Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre's professional company, with accompanying educational and outreach activities. Youth-oriented plays will be presented to students in schools in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota.
