In partnership with the City of Providence, the festival will include installations, residencies, performances, and film screenings by artists working with digital media. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support the development phase for the interior design aspects of Newport Opera House, which was built in 1868. Theater consultant Christopher Buckley will lead the project. Providence Black Repertory Company (aka Black Rep) Providence, RI $10,000

FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Music To support artist residencies and a touring project celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Silk Road Project. Programming will include the American premiere of a new work Layla and Majnun, under the artistic direction of Yo-Yo Ma, as well as touring to multiple states and Ontario, Canada.
