To support the presentation of choreographer Alwin Nikolais's (1910-93) work in a comprehensive project. The project will include a residency with the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, a residency by the Nikolais-Louis Foundation for Dance for Tulane University Dance Department students, and a variety of additional outreach and educational programs for the community.

To support the production and national distribution of American Routes, a weekly radio series devoted to the roots of popular music and popular roots music. Folklorist Nick Spitzer hosts the two-hour, weekend-oriented program, in which he combines recordings of popular, folk, jazz, and classical forms with in-studio performances, field recordings, and interviews.
