To support Artists Communities in Context, a series of convenings for the artist communities professionals. The project will include the annual conference in New Orleans, Louisiana in November 2009 and the Leadership Institute at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, in May 2010.

To support free music education and performance programs targeted to at-risk children and youth. The Providence String Quartet will be in residence to teach and mentor students as well as perform in its downtown storefront facility and other community venues.

To support the Youth Mentorship and Artist Mentor Fellowship. During a series of 40 week-long sessions, professional artists will mentor small groups of high school students teaching them sequential, skill-building courses in the visual arts, digital media, creative movement, and poetry.

To support a touring retrospective exhibition of drawings by American artist Pat Steir (b.1940), with accompanying catalogue and education programs. Organized by the RISD Museum of Art, the exhibition, Drawing Out of Line, will examine the relationships between the artist's drawings and her paintings.
