To support the Residency Program. American and international artists of various disciplines will be hosted for periods ranging from one month to one year.

To support an interdisciplinary artist residency for visual artists and writers. In collaboration with the Lighthouse Writers Workshop, artists will complete a residency in tandem with Denver's 2010 Biennial of the Americas: In Good We Trust.

To support the Integrated Campus Assessment and Master Plan. Through a comprehensive assessment and the creation of a planning document, the center will seek to create long-term capacity that will enable 600 artists and writers to participate in annual residency programs.

To support residencies targeted to minorities and artists of limited financial means. The project will provide stipends to and will fully support artists participating in two- to six-week residencies.

To support the Byrdcliffe Artists-in-Residence Program at the Byrdcliffe Colony. Writers and artists will be given a small stipend to defray their costs, and expanded marketing and increased administrative staff also will be part of the project.
