FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support the Barrier Island Center Performance Plus: Patchwork of Virginia Music Festival. Project activities will include performances, lectures, and the creation of an accompanying brochure featuring distinctive musical traditions from various parts of Virginia. Proposed guest artists include historian Gregg Kimball, state folklorist Jon Lohman, bluesman Jeffrey Scott, a cappella gospel group The Paschal Brothers, and bluegrass ensemble Broken Wire.
