To support the Appalachian Media Institute, a documentary arts film and radio program for high school students. Proposed festival themes include the folklife of western Kentucky, the centennial celebration of bluegrass music founder Bill Monroe, and traditional arts apprenticeships across Kentucky.

To support Building Connections through Craft Art, with related public programming. The project will draw on craft traditions from Caribbean, Cuban, Haitian, and Latin American cultures and will feature exhibitions, lectures, and art-making workshops.

To support the implementation of a public art commission for downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The work will be selected from one of five finalists identified through a jury selection process that included local community involvement.

To support the Northpoint Performance and Workshop Project, led by Executive Artistic Director Holly Henson in collaboration with award-winning playwright Elizabeth Orndorff and Curt Tofteland. The project will take place at Northpoint Education Center, a medium security prison, and employ theater professionals who have been trained to work with the incarcerated to stage a production of Moliere's Tartuffe and present talk back discussion sessions and one-on-one workshops to enhance communication and life skills.
