FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support performances and workshops featuring the work of composer Michael Torke and percussionist Alexej Gerassimez. Torke's Mojave Concerto for Marimba will be the featured presentation during the performances to take place at the Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support Giving Voice: A Festival of Writing & the Arts. High school students and community members, as well as university students and faculty, will participate in workshops and readings presented by nonfiction writer Brian Doyle, fiction writer Kevin Brockmeier, poet Gwen Hart, and songwriter Traci Rae Letellier.
