Based on the novella by Henry James, the 20th-century English chamber opera--a suspenseful masterpiece containing a prologue and 16 scenes, each preceded by a variation on the twelve-note 'crew theme, the production will launch a season celebrating the 100th anniversary of the composer's birth.
