To support Arts Business in Your Town, a series of arts business development workshops. The workshop series will be offered in six locations throughout Louisiana and include topics such as board development, social media and e-mail marketing, copyright, and nonprofit incorporation.

To support the Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week. The project will teach, present, and celebrate Cajun and Creole cultural heritage---including music, dance, foodways, crafts, and storytelling---through participatory workshops, artist presentations, dances, and performances.

To support Louisiana Musical Treasures, a concert celebrating 200 years of Louisiana statehood and related educational activities. The concert will examine the polyphonic classical music tradition of New Orleans from the early 19th-century to the 1930s in works by composers Andre Ernest Modeste Gretry, Vincente Martin y Soler, and Georg Schmitt, and will culminate with a big band-style performance of Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton's GanJam.

To support the seventh annual Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival. Staged in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the festival will feature the blues music of Louisiana and the Delta South as well as local crafts and foodways; additionally, a narrative stage is scheduled where blues artists will be interviewed by scholars.

To support Inspired By New Orleans, a multi-faceted project. A series of exhibitions, commissions, and artist lectures are planned, including a commissioned work by Dario Robleto exploring music and public ritual and a riverfront project conceived by architects David Adjaye and Michael Maltzan.

To support the staging of new works, a commission and workshop of an autobiographical play with music by Ruby Bridges, and a workshop of the play selected as the winner of the annual Ruby Prize, during The New Play Bacchanal festival. Educator, civil rights activist, and author Ruby Bridges will write an autobiographical play based on her life in the Florida neighborhood of New Orleans and the challenges met during an era of segregation.

To support staff salaries, consultant fees and catalogue printing costs for the exhibition, Women, Art, and Social Change: The Newcomb Pottery Enterprise. More than 250 objects from the Newcomb Art Gallery collection and loans from public and private collections will comprise the exhibition.
