Cave (b. 1959), both a sculptor and performer, is known for his elaborate wearable sculptures of available materials or "Soundsuits," so named because of the sounds they make when in motion.

The program consists of touring performances in schools throughout Idaho and neighboring states; scholarships for classes and programs at the festival's School of Theater; discounted and complimentary tickets for students, educators, and certain sectors of the community; and the Signing Shakespear" program, which offers American Sign Language-interpreted performances of main stage productions for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.

To support Writers in the Schools, a creative writing program for students and teachers. Professional teaching artists will lead year-long residencies in rural, urban, and alternative schools, including weekly, hour-long writing workshops to help students improve their writing and reading skills, develop a portfolio of work, and participate in ongoing peer critiques.
