To support the Iconic and Emerging Figures from Latin America series. The project will pair established and up-and-coming artists in literature, music, and visual arts to present literary programs, concerts, an exhibition, a literary publication, as well as a visual arts catalogue.

Activities will include The James Brown Project, a dance piece conceived by choreographer Otis Sallid; The Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival, a celebration of jazz in historic venues across upper Manhattan; The Apollo Music Cafe, an intimate performance series featuring independent musicians; The Salon Series, a new work incubation program focusing on music and poetry; and Breakin' Convention, an international multidisciplinary hip-hop festival.

To support Vintage Revisited. This free, five-concert series, part of a 50-concert outdoor summer festival, is intended to attract diverse audiences. Proposed artists including Mexican Institute of Sound, Bei Ru, and Hanni El Khatib create new genres of music that blend traditional or classic styles with modern-day sounds.

The series of free multidisciplinary arts events featuring artists On Ensemble, Los Angeles Cantonese Opera Orchestra, Kayamanan Ng Lahi Philippine Folk Arts, Un-Cabaret, and Miwa Matreyek will also include related lectures, workshops, and an artist residency serving at-risk youth.

To support the Latino Performance Series, Festival Betances, and the Tito Puente Latin Music Series. Programming will include performances by Latino, Chinese, and African American music and dance ensembles, as well as community engagement activities, including matinees for children, open rehearsals, workshops, and mini-recitals. The project, which will take place throughout diverse neighborhoods in Boston, will serve more than 12,000 residents.

To support Connecting Communities, a series of multidisciplinary, community-based artistic collaborations. The first collaboration will examine the multifaceted intersections of food and art through community design of a culinary art car with Poetic Kinetics and site-specific performances with Kaotic Good Productions. Additionally, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Kohler Arts Center's Arts/Industry residency program, the second and third collaborations will feature the creation of a large-scale collaborative sculpture with visual artist Kim Cridler and an examination of the local labor force with visual artist Michael Dinges.

To support the Global Dance Parties series. Each Global Dance Party will consist of a lesson for participants led by a master dancer, followed by an extended evening of participatory dancing to music performed by leading practitioners of the genre.

To support the Community Reflections multidisciplinary series at the Straz Center. The project include a series of performances, discussions, workshops and community outreach activities featuring solo theater artist Paige Hernandez, a capella group New Directions Veterans Choir, Momix Dance Ensemble, violinist Hillary Hahn, and Indian Classical music performers Shivkumar Sharma and Zakir Hussain.

To support dance, music, and spoken-word performances, accompanied by related public events. Tigertail will present Japanese percussionist and instrument maker Tatsuya Nakatani, choreographer Emily Johnson, and Montreal-based Marie Chouinard Dance Company, as well as WordSpeak, a series of spoken-word residences for teenagers led by Teo Castellanos.

Explorations will survey the art and culture of local Puerto Rican and Maya K'ichi communities through performances, artist residencies, discussions, and exhibits.
