FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Museum To support an exhibition examining late Medieval devotional art work in relation to the museum's Mother of Sorrows (c. 1470) by the Master of the Stotteritz Altar. The artistic and devotional contexts of the painting will be explored through 21 artworks by noted 15th-century masters of Nuremberg such as Hans and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff, Michael Wolgemut (the teacher of Albrecht Dürer), and the German painter/printmaker Martin Schongauer.
