To support Creating Local Culture Teams: 'Bringing Here at Home' to Schools and Communities. The project will create research teams, composed of educators and community members, to document local traditions and folk artists in as many as four communities.

To support Connecting Communities, a series of multidisciplinary, community-based artistic collaborations. The first collaboration will examine the multifaceted intersections of food and art through community design of a culinary art car with Poetic Kinetics and site-specific performances with Kaotic Good Productions. Additionally, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Kohler Arts Center's Arts/Industry residency program, the second and third collaborations will feature the creation of a large-scale collaborative sculpture with visual artist Kim Cridler and an examination of the local labor force with visual artist Michael Dinges.

To support performances by the musical group Cimarrón, who will perform llanera, traditional Colombian and Venezuelan music, with associated outreach activities. The project will include educational matinees that provide additional information about the historical origins of the music performed, and a percussion class for student groups; low-income residents will receive complimentary tickets to the performances.

To support Folding Paper: The Infinite Possibilities of Origami, featuring visual artist Calvin Nicholls and associated outreach activities that will include art workshops, a lecture by the guest artist, and a tour of the exhibition led by Nicholls. Participants in the "Art Beyond Sight" program, established to make art accessible to individuals with disabilities, will experience Nicholls' paper sculptures through touch.

To support performances of Handel's Acis and Galatea. Expanding the company's repertoire as the first Baroque opera the company has presented, this production will be led by stage director David Lefkowich and conductor John DeMain.

To support the fifth biennial Genesis International Choreographic Competition, which will result in the creation of new dance works. Three emerging, professional choreographers will be invited to submit plans for presenting a new work as part of a juried competition in which each of the three finalists will stage a new 20-minute work on the company.

To support sequential productions of Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris and A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. The contemporary comedy Clybourne Park is a response to Hansberry's landmark masterpiece, A Raisin in the Sun. Both plays explore issues related to race, class, economics, and cultural identity.

To support Music of the African Diaspora, a series of performances demonstrating how traditional music and dance from the African Diaspora has influenced contemporary music and dance. Colin O'Brien, a banjo "fingerstyle" and bluegrass guitar player, and Naima Adedapo, a vocalist and dancer, will perform in a variety of different venues located in underserved Milwaukee communities, including schools, a Boys & Girls Club, and a senior center.
