The Virginia Opera Association put on a beautiful performance featuring three singers with exceptional voices. Though the staging was simple and there were fewer singers than usual, the works performed were so perfectly suited to their voices that it was bliss to hear. One particular highlight was the stunning Lakmé duet between the two female singers. The audience responded warmly and, following the intimate performance, mingled with the singers at a reception provided by Boeing.
