The daughter of a U.S. Marine who fought in World War II, Erin McGraw grew up outside Los Angeles where she began writing in high school. She is the author of four books of fiction, including the story collections Lies of the Saints, The Baby Tree, and The Good Life. Lies of the Saints was selected as a New York Times Notable Book, and her work has been featured on National Public Radio's Selected Shorts. She is also the author of Bodies At Sea. McGraw has published in The Atlantic Monthly, The Kenyon Review, and other publications. A former Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, McGraw teaches creative writing and American literature at The Ohio State University. She is married to the poet Andrew Hudgins.
