2014 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert Webcast Archive

The NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert was held at the George Washington University's Lisner Auditoriumon Friday, September 19, 2014 at 8 p.m. Emceed by American Routes host Nick Spitzer, the concert celebrated the 2014 recipients of the NEA National Heritage Fellowship, the nation's highest honor in the folk & traditional arts. The 2014 recipients are Mohawk basketmaker Henry Arquette, Tejano musician and singer Manuel "Cowboy" Donley, Irish step dancer Kevin Doyle, blues, gospel, and R&B band The Holmes Brothers, Odawa quillworker Yvonne Walker Keshick, quilting community advocate Carolyn Mazloomi, Ukrainian embroiderer and beadworker Vera Nakonechny, African-American religious singers Singing & Praying Bands of Maryland and Delaware, and Omaha traditional singer and drum group leader Rufus White.
