I had trained in the theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. However, my life course took me in a different direction. Approximately one year ago (after a long absence) I had the opportunity to return to the thing I love the most - THEATER. I was elected to the Fishers Arts Council and then appointed the artistic director of the Nickel Plate Players. In one year’s time, we have produced four original theatrical works. One of our productions was awarded the 2014 Award of Excellence from the State of Indiana Parks and Recreation Association.

Our theater company has performed for thousands of people and we have engaged hundreds of local artists including actors, singers, dancers, musicians, choreographers, production staff and back stage personnel. As a result, Nickel Plate Players has had a profound effect on the people involved and on the community at large. Our most recent original production, Heartlight, drew an estimated 1000 people to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in Fishers, Inidiana, and engaged 17 performers, six musicians and 10 production staff members.

Not only is it great to finally be involved again in the theater, but it is thrilling to know that we are providing opportunity for so many talented people and working with other community minded organizations as sponsors and in-kind sponsors. They include: Fishers Parks and Recreation, Nickel Plate Arts, Hamilton County Tourism, Fishers Arts Council, Fishers Music Works, The Historic Ambassador House, Propeller Marketing and Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy! We are proud to say that because of Nickel Plate Players, theatre is alive and well and living in Fishers, Indiana!
