Hurricane Katrina passed through New Orleans. The city flooded, and not all due to faulty levees. Knowing New Orleans history of levee bombings I felt the truth of this unnatural disaster would be twisted. I returned home after a year and learned of atrocities that happened to people still in N.O. Many innocent people drowned and were killed. Determined to ensure the world knows about the atrocities I began painting. There are many untold stories of what happened. Through painting I document atrocities so that true details are reflected in history. We have to document what happened. I am accomplishing my mission through pictorial narratives.
