The National Endowment for the Arts funded our Circus Harmony Showcase and Teacher Training Program several times. Graduates of Circus Harmony include the youngest female cannonball ever on Ringling Brothers Circus, one of the Flying Wallendas, performers with Cirque du Soleil, and more. Participation in our program totally changed the lives of many young people, maybe none more so than Sidney ‘Iking’ Bateman. Iking was raised by his grandmother in one of the worst neighborhoods in St. Louis. He is now touring the world with the amazing contemporary circus company, Les 7 Doigts de la Main, in their wonderful show, Cuisine and Confessions. He is the personification of our mission to help children defy gravity, soar with confidence, and leap over social barriers.
