And he's off . . . to the Gem State

A few things you should know about Idaho:

1. It's the 13th largest state in the union and became the 43rd state in July 1890; 2. famous Idahoans include Baseball Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Marilynne Robinson, and 3. Rocco will bring the Art Works tour to Boise, Jerome, and Twin Falls, Idaho, on Monday, April 5.

Rocco's host for this leg of the Art Works tour is Congressman Mike Simpson. On the itinerary? The Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy, the Twin Falls Center for the Arts, and a Shakespearience performance and workshop at Jerome High School. The chairman also will visit with Boise Mayor David Bieter and area arts and community leaders, including former National Council on the Arts members Mark Hofflund and Louise McClure.
