Look Who's Talking!
Tune in Tuesday, September 14 for a live webcast of "Creative Placemaking," a panel discussion on the role of the arts in creating livable, sustainable communities. The webcast will air 3:00-4:15 pm EDT at www.arts.gov. Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panelists via Twitter using the hashtag #NEAplace. Participants include Richard Florida, author of The Great Reset and The Rise of the Creative Class; Tim Jones, president & CEO of Toronto Artscape; Rick Lowe, founder of Project Row Houses in Houston, Texas; and Ann Markusen, professor and director of the Project on Regional and Industrial Economics at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. Serving as moderator is Carol Coletta, CEO of CEOs for Cities. The creative placemaking panel is co-hosted by Gary Doer, Canadian Ambassador to the United States.
