Art Works Podcast: Milton Glaser

Washington, DC

It’s the most imitated logo design in history, and this week's podcast is a conversation with its designer, Milton Glaser. Glaser, who received the National Medal of Arts in 2009, remains immensely influential in education as well as design (he’s been teaching at the School of Visual Arts since 1961).  From posters to restaurants, supermarkets to magazines, he brings a sense of intellectual and visual play to all his work. Glaser remains intensely curious and thoughtful, but with a self-deprecating wit. Case in point---his website offers his bio in three lengths: short, medium, and interminable.
