Art Works Podcast: William Wegman

In this week's podcast, we talk with artist William Wegman. Although he is perhaps most famous for photographing his beloved Weimaraners, Wegman is by no means limited to photography---or to dogs for that matter. A two-time NEA Fellow, Wegman has moved fluidly between drawing, painting, and photography, and was one of the first artists to use video as an art form. We recently featured Wegman in the most recent issue of NEA Arts, but wanted to further explore his career and probe his artistic philosophy. Throughout the podcast, the artist talks about his beloved canine models, his focus on accessible artwork, and his initial absurdist foray into video, which can be found in the above link to NEA Arts.
