The Big Read Blog (Archive)

One of the great things about having contemporary authors in The Big Read library is that communities often get a chance to invite those authors in to read from and discuss their work -- either in person or via video conference. As I previously reported on the blog, Timberland Regional Library hosted A Wizard of Earthsea author Ursula K. LeGuin for a visit this past October. Thanks to Timberland for this link to that reading. (The reading starts about 10 minutes into the clip, and the entire video runs about 71 minutes.)

Want to catch a preview of summer and also brush up on your literary reading? Check out the U.S. Virgin Islands Big Read of A Wizard of Earthsea kicking off February 27 with a parade and book fair. Find more details at The Big Read Web site.
