Connection Guide: Technical Tips on Hosting a Viewing Party


1. Gather all audio/visual equipment. 

At least one week before the live webcast, reserve an Internet accessible computer, projector, or TV. Know and test your specific computer to projector or TV requirements a week prior to your viewing party. Determine audio needs for your audience (i.e. external speakers, etc.).

2. Check your Internet connection

Check to make sure your Internet connection is working properly. High speed internet (Cable, FIOS, or DSL) connection is required in order to view the live feed. To test your connection prior to the performance date, visit the streaming test site: TBD.

After the roll call of state champions, nine finalists – three from each regional semifinal – vie for the title of Poetry Out Loud National Champion.
