Center for Urban Pedagogy projects are collaborations of art and design professionals, community-based advocates and policymakers, and CUP staff. They take on complex issues—from the juvenile justice system to zoning law to food access—and break them down into simple, accessible, visual explanations. A project supported by an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Creativity Connects grant is the CUP Civil Liberties Educational Toolkit, which will include inventive design on a variety of educational materials in various media to help individuals understand and assert their rights in legal systems.
