Blue Star Museums

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America. Each summer since 2010, Blue Star Museums have offered free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve. First Lady of the United States Melania Trump and Second Lady of the United States Karen Pence have agreed to serve as honorary co-chairs of Blue Star Museums 2019. Read more here. They also provided a letter in support of Blue Star Museums in 2018

The 2019 Blue Star Museums program will begin on Saturday, May 18, 2019, Armed Forces Day, and end on Monday, September 2, 2019, Labor Day.

Registration is now open for 2019museums interested in participating should click here to register. (Please note that participating museums must register again even if they have participated in the past.) Email bluestarmuseums@arts.gov with any questions.

The 2019 map of participating museums will be available in early May.
