The state champions will compete at the Poetry Out Loud semifinals on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET at the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Nine finalists will advance to the national finals, also held at the Lisner Auditorium, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m. ET. Both events will be webcast live.
