Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge Collab Lab: Song Structure Cookoff

Welcome to the Collab Lab, where you will get to collaborate with a fellow high school student interested in the Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge, and put your new song structure knowledge into practice! Each team will be given a section of a song to write and a few "ingredients" they must include in their section. Guided by professional musical theatre writers Anthony Fedorov and Jennifer Paz (PROUD MARYS, Fest ‘24), students will work together to collaborate, experiment and write a part of a song in this fun, low-stakes environment. Let's get cooking!

An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in partnership with the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT), the Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge is opportunity for high school students to develop and showcase musical compositions that could be a part of a musical theater production.
