NEA Chairman Jane Chu to Visit Detroit, Michigan, February 1-2, 2015

Washington, DC—NEA Chairman Jane Chu will visit Detroit, Michigan, on February 1-2, 2015. Her trip will include the closing plenary at SphinxCon on February 1 and on February 2, she will tour Detroit's Cultural Center in Midtown Detroit, ending with a tour of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Follow @NEAJaneChu on twitter for photos and commentary on her visit to Detroit. Chairman Chu will begin her visit to Detroit on February 1st at SphinxCon, where she will give the closing plenary at 11am. This conference will bring together leaders discussing solutions to the challenges surrounding diversity in the performing arts and will be live streamed on SphinxCon's website. On February 2, Chairman Chu will tour developments in Detroit's cultural center in Midtown Detroit, including Sugar Hill Arts District and the Woodward Garden Block. The tour will begin at the Inn on Ferry Street. Please contact NEA Public Affairs at auclaire@arts.gov.
