NEA Chairman Jane Chu to Visit Riverside County, California, February 20, 2015

Visit includes a public event in Riverside and site visits in Lake Elsinore and Corona

Washington, DC—NEA Chairman Jane Chu will visit Riverside County, California, on Friday, February 20, 2015. Her trip will include a public event at the Culver Center for the Arts, and site visits to Studio 395 Foundation and the Fender Center’s Kids Rock Free School of Music. Chairman Chu will begin her visit to Riverside County at the Culver Center for the Arts for a 10:00am event hosted by the Riverside Arts Council. This event will begin with short performances by Intersect Dance Theatre and young singers Ashlen Bullock and Brennely Brown, as well as remarks by Mayor Rusty Bailey. Chairman Chu will speak about the power of the arts and take questions from the audience. This event is free and open to the public. Click here to register to attend. That afternoon at 2:00pm Chairman Chu will meet with the Studio 395 Foundation at the Lake Elsinore Cultural Arts Center. In addition to learning more about Studio 395's work to engage their community, Chairman Chu will participate in a discussion about the role of creative placemaking. At 4:00pm Chairman Chu will join Congressman Ken Calvert for a visit the Fender® Center’s Kids Rock Free School of Music in Corona where she will tour the center and hear performances by Kids Rock Free School of Music students.
