a quote by Mary Pickford
"You may have a frest start at any moment you choose, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down." -- Mary Pickford Did you know that silent film star Mary Pickford was one of the original 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences? She also won the second ever Best Actress Oscar for her first role in "talkies." Not only was Pickford a talented actress of cinema's early days, but she also co-founded two film studios: the Pickford-Fairbanks Studio and United Artists. In 1976, she received an honorary Academy award for her services to the film industry.
