Section 508 Accessibility

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) ensures accessible Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for individuals with disabilities, including members of the public, federal employees, and applicants. NEA is guided by the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794d).

Section 508 requires that all ICT developed, procured, funded, maintained, and used by NEA is accessible to individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. NEA personnel with disabilities have the same (or comparable) access to and use of information and data as NEA personnel who do not have disabilities. Members of the public with disabilities seeking information or services from NEA have the same (or comparable) access to, and use of, that information and services as members of the public who do not have disabilities. Content and system owners and authors are accountable and responsible for ensuring that their system(s), product(s) and/or service(s) are accessible to NEA personnel and members of the public.&
