As we reflect on the pain and anguish that our nation has felt over the last several days, weeks and even months, we are reminded that the arts are a powerful and important part of what unites us as Americans. The arts celebrate our differences through a collective, shared experience. For over fifty years, the National Endowment for the Arts has been healing, uniting and lifting up communities with compassion and creativity. We remain committed to that mission. Over the next several days across the agency's social media outlets, we will be sharing inspiring art and reflective stories that unite us as a country. Please join us.
