Bio

Katie Condon’s poetry has appeared in the New Yorker, American Poetry Review, and Ploughshares, as well as the Academy of American Poets’ anthology 100 Poems That Matter. Condon’s first book, Praying Naked, won the Charles B. Wheeler poetry prize and was published by The Ohio State University Press in 2020. The 2023 Nadya Aisenberg Fellow at MacDowell, she holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Houston and a PhD in English from the University of Tennessee. Condon is an assistant professor in the English department at Southern Methodist University, where she teaches creative writing and serves as the editor of Project Poetica’s single-author poetry series.
