Blue Star Museums PR Toolkit

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America. The program starts Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 26, 2018) and runs through Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2018). As a Blue Star Museum, you are part of a national appreciation program for military families. Even if your museum is already free, this is an opportunity to be part of a national effort to say “thank you” to our military community.

The 2018 national launch announcement for Blue Star Museums will take place on May 16, 2018 and we encourage you to make your own announcement on or after that date as well.Consider using these tools to help you reach local military families and local media. Use these sample media materials, tips, and tools to promote your organization’s involvement in Blue Star Museums.Here you will find downloadable marketing materials – posters, postcards, and logos – to enhance your promotions.
