NEA Chairman Jane Chu to Visit New Haven, Connecticut, February 9, 2015

**Please note that the site visit with Architecture Resource Center at Mauro-Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications Interdistrict Magnet School is cancelled due to the snow. (2/9/15) Washington, DC—NEA Chairman Jane Chu will visit New Haven, Connecticut, on Monday, February 9, 2015. Her trip will include site visits to two local NEA grantees – Architecture Resource Center and Music Haven – as well as remarks at an event celebrating the arts and humanities in New Haven. Chairman Chu will begin her visit to New Haven at Mauro-Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications Interdistrict Magnet School, where she will observe Architecture Resource Center's work with third-grade students in a math class. After visiting a classroom, she will meet with Architecture Resource Center's leadership and school partners. That afternoon, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro  will join Chairman Chu for a visit to Music Haven. After a meeting with staff and resident musicians, Chairman Chu will meet some of the students who take part in the program.
