2016 NEA Jazz Masters to Participate in Master Class with Duke Ellington School of the Arts Students

WHAT: Recognizing the importance of mentorship to the future of jazz, 2016 NEA Jazz Masters Gary Burton, Pharoah Sanders, and Archie Shepp, as well as vibraphonist Stefon Harris will coach Duke Ellington School of the Arts jazz students. The master artists will share their unique insights into the music with the aspiring artists. Music students from other District of Columbia Public Schools will also observe this workshop.

MEDIA RSVP: To secure admission and camera locations, crews must RSVP by Sunday, April 3 at 5:00 p.m. Media are allowed to capture up to 15 minutes of the event and broadcast fewer than three minutes. All equipment must be self-contained.
