On November 18, 2016, the NEA and The Kennedy Center co-hosted a day-long convening called In Pursuit of the Creative Life: The Future of Arts and Creativity in America. Inspired by the NEA research report, Creativity Connects: Trends and Conditions Affecting U.S. Artists, a diverse group from arts and non-arts sectors gathered to explore how creativity permeates nearly all professions, from transportation to engineering. Important topics covered were technology, access, equity, race, and more.
